Ouch

Don’t move 7 yards of dirt in a weekend by yourself!

I’m recovering pretty well, I was expecting my back to hurt a lot more and my hands too. While we were shoveling (the wife “helped” but hardly enough to save me much pain) I could barely hold the shovel or lift the wheel barrel my hands had so many blisters on them.

So many years of typing has made my hands soft.

We just moved in to a new development and we have a 50' x 50' backyard. We needed 6 inches of topsoil but only one wheelbarrow and no neighbors to help. Two truckloads and 2 weekends later, my husband didn't have blisters because he wore a great pair of gloves, but 5 months later he can't even think about doing anything outside. So I guess those tulips are going to stay in the bag... He did get a nice sun tan though!
