Jawbone

My latest Bluetooth headset Jawbone

This one is pretty darn good, with new noise cancelling tech.
My mom didn’t know I was driving my car (which is usually very obvious because my car makes a lot of noise at 60 mph).
Unfortunately, I’m told that I sound metalic or robotic.

It does a pretty good job of staying on ear. However, even with 4 different ear buds, none of them fit me “well”. Wearing the default/smallest one still causes my ear to hurt after 1+ hours.
The over-the-ear part is spring loaded so it helps hold it in place, but it is contoured for right/left so you can’t easily swap ears. You have to swap clips.

The button to answer is rather hard to push. The volume button is in a strange place, and it cycles through instead of having an up/down.

Seems my phone has developed an annoying buzz when I answer. I don’t hear it, but the people who call me say “ouch” when I pick up because its rather loud.

The charger uses a non-standard connection so it can’t be shared with other mini-usb devices.

I tried this for 3 days, and i have to agree that it makes the ear hurt. Worst is that it gave me a zit in my ear. I'm in research mode, so i returned it due to fit issues. If i wind up coming back to it, I'll order it online for cheaper, and probably take one of the oblong earbuds and enlarge the hole for better sound. But since i was planning on returning it, i wasn't willing to make any permanent modifications. Other than the wind, though, this headset seems to be the closest to a "magic bullet."
