WoW MC Buffs
Here’s a picture of me (Phather, my Priest) in MC, with a lot of buffs.
Few useful mods I’ve installed:
Atlas – instance maps.
CharactersViewer – a must if you have alts.
MoveAnything – name says it all.
Wardrobe – Setup predefined wardrobes and change with 1 button click.
Been playing a LOT of WoW (World of Warcraft, MMORPG) and recently got the necessary USB extension cable to enable me to use my bluetooth keyboard/mouse effectively in the home theater (previously the keyboard/mouse were not responsive enough because of the distance/walls). Here’s some screen shots, the box of the game is in the lower left corner for reference. Click on the pictures for a (slightly) bigger version.
An oldie but goodie.
I don’t remember how, but while taking to my younger brother, I was reminded of a great game from…wow 1995 or 1996: SubSpace. I remember playing this on my cousin’s PC (and then my PC once I got one) in college. At the time, it was free and going through beta. It was then released as a full game and cost money. It has again become free (probably awhile ago). The free version is called Continuum.
There’s 3 major types of play:
Fighting, flag collecting and … well soccer.
There’s some interesting mods available that combine or extend these game types, like Hockey instead of soccer. And Dragon Ball Z where you use the “ball” (Dragon ball radar) to find the Dragon Balls (flags) and collect all 7 until the timer runs out, then you get to make a wish to the Eternal Dragon.
This might be one of the first Massively Multiplayer online games (that I can think of). Now adays, there’s usually just 50-100 people on a given server, but I’m sure there were more back in the day. I highly recommend you check it out.
Well, my latest time waster is n
A game developed in Flash (of all things). Its quite good. Though VERY CPU intensive. I’m always at 100% CPU utilization when the game is running. Makes everything else on my PC very slow.
I can’t believe someone spent the time to make a game inside of excel.
By zooming out to 10%, and making each cell act as a “pixel”, programatically changing the background color of the cell, this person has produced “animation” in the form of Pacman and Space Invaders.

Its not 100% perfect, but what do you expect for free?
PSP is the “Play Station Portable” or something like that.
Sony is going to make a portable gaming system. Saw some pictures on Gamespot. Looks pretty nice, but with the ‘failure’ of the nGage, I’m not to sure about the PSP’s future, though it should do better, can it do well compared to the gameboy?
I don’t really care for portable gaming so I don’t own any. I had an original gameboy that sucked a lot of my pre and high school days.
Yes, someone made a video about video gaming in Mame.

Our good friend Donkey Kong sings “Jump”.
Mame is “Multple Arcade Machine Emulation” which allows you to play classic arcade games.
Wow, this site is cool: http://www.remakes.org/
Free games (for the PC) that people made based on “classic” games.
I love R-Type. An excellent remake is available, called G-Type. Plays well in a small window, a little choppy on my laptop when I make it full screen.
Just TONS of other things I haven’t had time to look at available on that site. Wow!
