It’s a girl!
We’ll be having a girl: Julia Misura, in August.
The ultrasound tech said it’s a girl.
The doctor said it’s a girl.

I can remember in college, trying to decide what I wanted to do.
Then I found the internet. Realized how huge it would be.
I wanted to do something that touched a lot of people, even if just a little bit.
Now, I will have the chance to influence one special life a lot: our child.
Baby Misura will be joining us in August ’07.
What did you do this holiday?
I installed WinXP Home on a 350 mhz P2, 64MB ram, 2GB HD machine.
It actually ran (well, walked).
(Don’t think I’m compaining Aunt Betty, it was fun working with the “old school” hardware, though a bit slow).
Went to Burnsville (near Minneapolis) in Minnesota to visit my cousin.
The twin cities (St. Paul and Minneapolis) are pretty nice. Cool sky line, lots of trees in St. Paul (aka Sao Paulo, heh).
Happy Birthday to Luciana.
My beautiful wife has turned 26.
Took her to Benihanas. While its not Koi (in Sao Paulo) it was acceptable by her high sushi/sashimi standards.
Poor Gato is in pain after his surgery. He was neutered and has his claws removed.
I feel really bad when I see him try to walk and it hurts him to put any weight on his paws.
Hopefully he will recover quickly and be back to following us around to whatever room we go to.
1 year.
It went amazingly fast.
Definately the best year of life.
I am very fortunate to have met and married Luciana Bordallo Misura.
I can’t believe our cat does not like tuna! All cats like tuna!
I think our cat is not a cat. He’s more like a dog. He talks all the time, he follows us from room to room, he licks, sits and waits for us to return, and he doesn’t like tuna!
So, we named the cat Gato (until we think of a better name). I like “Ping” (Luciana thinks it sounds too asian). She likes “Geek”, I think it sounds too insulting (although we are both geeks).
I took Gato to the vet to get some shots, checked for fleas and treated for worms. He was VERY nervous because I think that he thought he was being returned. Previously someone had taken him home but found out the roommate was alergic so they brought the cat back to the shelter. So I bet he thought he was being returned again when I took him out of our house.
The treatment for the worms must have caused him to poop because he left a stinky one in his cat carrier that stuck to his butt and leg. I have some nice cuts on my hands from washing him, though he was rather calm considering how much cats normally hate being washed.
